Overview
In this training course workers learn how to safely work with or
around compressed gas cylinders. When gas is compressed to fit into a
cylinder a great amount of pressure is produced, creating a hazard if
the cylinder should become damaged. Compressed gas cylinders may be
dangerous if they leak and the gas is hazardous. A leaking cylinder
also creates a fire hazard or risk of explosion.
By taking the proper precautions and handling cylinders safely,
accidents can be avoided. Topics covered in the course include an
explanation of hazards, handling and storing cylinders, mechanisms and
fittings and how to handle leaks. Use this training course to help
your workers utilize safe work practices when working with compressed
gas cylinders
