Nancy serves the Health Science Center as the Laboratory Safety Manager.  Nancy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Texas A&M University.  Prior to joining the Health Science Center in April 2012, Nancy worked for the Geochemical and Environmental Research Group at TAMU, first as a Technician and then as a Research Assistant.  She moved to TAMU’s Environmental Health & Safety department in 2003, advancing from Environmental Safety Technician to Environmental Safety Supervisor.  Nancy’s professional experience has included Laboratory Safety Program management, administration of chemical inventory programs, as well as conducting Hazard Communication Training.  She also has experience in the research compliance and biosafety arenas performing biological safety inspections for BSL1, 2, and 3 facilities.  In addition, Nancy served as a member of the TAMU Laboratory Safety Committee and has experience in hazardous materials response.
