Education and Qualifications
Crystal serves the Health Science Center as the Occupational Health Coordinator. Crystal has a Bachelor of Science in biology from Tennessee State University and a Master of Public Health with an emphasis in occupational and environmental health from Louisiana State University Health Science Center.
She was employed with the University of Texas Health Science Center as a Chemical Safety Specialist. Crystal also served as an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist at Tulane University where she conducted university wide occupational health and industrial hygiene activities, was a member of the Emergency Response Team, and participated in the Emergency On-Call Program
Research Interests
Specialty Training/Board Certifications
She holds certifications as a 24 hr OSHA Hazardous Waste Site Worker (HAZWOPER) and for FEMA National Incident Management System 100b, 200b, 700a, 800b training.
Crystal is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).
