As a public institution, The Texas A&M University System requires disclosure of certain developments of all employees so the benefit derived from these developments can be used to further A&M's educational mission. These ideas are formally disclosed to the Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) in order to begin a process to evaluate the idea for its commercial potential.

The Texas A&M University System's OTC is industry's connection to the A&M System.  the OTC provides the link between the laboratories where innovative new technologies are being developed and industry partners that will bring them to fruition as a product.
