Texas A&M University Baylor College of DentistryThe flag of the Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry was developed after the college merged with The Texas A&M University System in 1996 and displays the seal and colors that were adopted at that time. The gold represents BCD's past affiliation with Baylor University, and the teal blue represents what was then one of the colors of the A&M System. The Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry seal prominently displays the year of the college's founding atop a triangular shape representing the Greek letter delta, long a part of the official emblem of dentistry. The star on the seal is a traditional symbol of Texas, the Lone Star State. Encircled by the dental school’s name, the seal is embellished with laurel leaves for honor and the Latin words for excellence and integrity.
