Our McAllen campus offers degree programs in Rural Public Health.

On the Texas-Mexico border, McAllen is one of the nation’s fastest-growing cities. Its rapid growth is one of the reasons we decided to open our McAllen campus in 2000. At this campus, our faculty and staff offer educational programs on diabetes, asthma and other medical-related topics to residents of the Lower Rio Grande Valley. Among the various community outreach programs, the McAllen campus also offers two Master of Public Health programs for students.

In 2004, the McAllen campus created a 23,000-square-foot facility that provides space for laboratories, offices, classrooms and conference areas to deliver a wide range of health training, clinical research, medical education, community interventions and public health programs with local partners. This location helps the TAMHSC with one of its primary goals: serving the underserved.

TAMHSC does not provide on-campus housing. View McAllen apartment listings.
