Houston is the nation's fourth-largest city and a dynamic international destination. Known as the energy capital of the world, the city is home to the world's largest medical center, where the Institute of Biosciences and Technology is located.
Students pursuing a Ph.D. in the biomedical sciences will complete basic coursework at the Bryan-College Station campuses. In their second year, students will carry out extensive research and advanced courses at the Houston campus. Research conducted here is transferred to the marketplace to ensure that the institute’s research results can help others beyond its laboratory walls.
